Week 23

Hey Al,

It's time to go over another week in the Longball League. After a few weeks on top, the San Pedro Sea Monkeys have slipped to second place. A huge week by the Tax Dodgers has them sitting atop the standings. Huge weeks by Albert Pujols and Tim Lincecum were key in the Tax Dodgers surge. Also closing the gape in the race were the Mighty Mollusks and Invisible Hands who are still one big week away from being on top. Wow, it's gonna be interesting down the stretch.

Trivia: With the playoffs looming on the horizon, I was doing some research and came across a pretty crazy stat. The player with the longest time in the bigs without ever reaching the World Series is Phil Niekro. Old Knucksie pitched in the bigs for 24 years and never got to play in the World Series. Niekro finished his career with over 300 wins and is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Phil just had the tough luck to never make it to the fall classic.
